TIKKA


This is a photo of my cat when I was growing up... Her name was Tikka and she would only come to me when called (and ignore everyone else).. Loved her heaps..

Can't remember what it was about but I think it was something to do about the disease Aids... 

The other speaker was the NSW premier at that time 'Nick Griener'.

This photo was taken on the top floor of Centrepoint Tower in Sydney N.S.W.  looking at the Hype Park fountain.

Centrepoint was one of my favorite places to go ... For $5 you felt like you were on top of the world, now its just too expensive..

LONG WAY DOWN


Taken on a bushwalk at Springwood NSW (Farm rd lookout) 

Took us about 45 mins to get to the bottom or 1.5 secs if I lost my footing taking this photo.

BLUE MOUNTAINS LIZARD


This cute little critter was seen running across my driveway, love the way the lizard and the leaves are the same colour.

BIG SPIDER


I hate spiders.. I saw this from a distance and freaked... Then grabbed my camera.. 

My hands were shaking in case it jumped on me.. thankfully just after I took this photo, a Kookaburra (bird) swooped down and carried him off into the distance .

STORM FRONT


This photo was taken at Agnes Banks NSW on my way home from work.

The storm seemed to follow me home as the lightning strikes were beginning to be get closer.

RESCUE HELICOPTER



This photo was taken at Glenbrook RAAF Open Day (NSW) around 1997?

Had never seen this helicopter before. 

It is often used in military rescues. 

Camera used was a Minolta with 35mm film.

BURN RUBBER


After I left school, I worked in a service station / garage and got to work on various cars.

The rear tyre that you see smokin was one that I fixed (car is a Holden Statesman?)

"Go on, dump it" I asked the customer, and he did, down the main street of Campbelltown NSW...

BRISBANE RIVER LOOKING DOWN


This photo was taken from a helicopter over the pristine waters of the Brisbane river, Queensland, looking straight down.

 I wanted the photo to show depth and included the step of the helicopter to add realism.

I used to love catching the hydrofoil from Circular Quay to Manly NSW, waiting for the moment the Hydrofoil would launch out of the water and skim across the harbour.

To take this photo I had to hold onto a pole with one hand and snap the photo in other as the force of the liftoff was incredible.

CAMPBELLTOWN AT NIGHT


Welcome to my first blog... This photo was taken in Campbeltown NSW on 35mm film around 1988.

I lived in Campbelltown most of my childhood and wanted to capture the nightlife.

I left the shutter open while on tripod (B Setting using cable release) for around 30sec.
